FACULTY and STAFF
Sister Mary Victor Powers
has been Principal at Word of God Catholic School since 1990. Sister is a member
of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill,
Greensburg. She has a Masters in education with an emphasis in
Supervision and Curriculum development. She had done post graduate work at
Duquesne University and the University of Notre Dame. Sister has also done
extensive study at the University of Dayton on the inclusive education of
children with special needs. She is a member of the National Catholic Education
Association and the Association for Curriculum and Supervision Development.
Miss Patricia Galla is Vice Principal as
well as Mathematics teacher in 4th and 5th grades. Miss Galla has a Bachelors
degree from the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis in education. All of
this is enhanced by 30 years of dedicated service to Word of God Catholic
School.
Staff at Word of God Catholic School consists of 24 full time and three part time
teachers. All teachers have Bachelors degrees, four have Masters degrees and
several are working toward Masters degrees. All teachers are Certified in
Pennsylvania.
