Eighth Grade

As my eighth grade students prepare to move to high school, the best tools I can give them are communication skills.  Reading, writing and oral communication skills are necessary to succeed in every classroom, not just language arts.  Research, activities, projects, novels and short stories are used to meet individual needs and interests. Whether writing a story, or working in a small group on a project, my students are challenged to be creative and develop these specific skills.  During the school year, I focus on preparing them for what lies ahead,  Confirmation and successful assimilation into the high schools of their choice.
